What's "GMClans" Stand For?
GMClans stands simply for Game Making Clans. We're a forum that's not dedicated to any single platform of game design, but instead to making high-quality games in Clans. Of course, not everyone is interested in working in a team, so we hope to cater (to some extent) to both individual developers as well as Clans.
Site History
Let's skip the boring historics: GMClans was founded in late 2004, and moved to its own domain in February of 2005. Due to an accidental deletion of the database, the site wasn't "really" reopened until March 1st, 2005. You can consider that our Official Birthday.
About the Design and Programming
The current GMClans site design was completely wrapped up around August, 2006. While it's not a liquid layout, it does support native resolutions as low as 640x480 and will display perfectly on most outdated systems - so long as you're using a relatively up-to-date web browser.
Site markup is done in XHTML 1.0 Transitional, the backend is programmed in PHP and databasing is done via MySQL. If you're a skilled web designer, programmer or graphics artist who is interested in seeing GMClans grow and flourish and would like to work on the the dev team (gratis), we'd love to hear from you!

- Ninto, who has helped tremendously in getting the site off its feet. He's not only provided an invaluable number of code resources for the site, but he's also a lethal ninja skilled in just about everything. A great tip of the hexagon to him.
- Matthewbot, now an admin, deserves a most definite thank-you for all his perseverance. He's got hip ideas of his own, and always makes sure I don't go too overboard or become too impractical with my outrageous plans. Without him, the site would surely have flopped.
